Artist Book

In 2003, we established the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute’s Artist Book Collection. Today it comprises more than 700 units of artist’s books, zines, newspapers, and artists’ magazines. In 2004, we prepared an educational program and in 2008, we established KAPSULA, a new project space and a bookstore dedicated to artist books. We soon began receiving the first invitations to international artist’s book fairs in Paris (Art Book International, Georges Pompidou) and New York (NY Art Book Fair, PS 1, 2009). In 2010, we organized the Blind Date Convention in Ljubljana, the 1^st International Festival of Artist Books and Art Publications, which hosted local and foreign independent publishers. The books we’ve published are featured in many of the world’s Artist Books collections, such as MoMA, New York; International Center of Photography, New York; CNEAI, Paris; Weserburg Museum of Modern Art, Bremen; Metropolitan Museum, New York; Collection of the University of South End, London, etc.
