We are delighted to announce P74 Gallery participation at Astoria Artshow 2026. We are presenting selected works by Tadej Pogačar from the ongoing series CODE:RED (1999 – present).
The Astoria Artshow is the preview edition of a new international art fair in Vienna. It takes place in the historic Astoria Garage—an architectural gem from the 1920s—which is being used for an art event for the first time. Spanning over 10,000 square meters, more than 80 galleries from across Europe are presenting highlights from their programs; rather than being displayed within standard architectural layouts, the works are arranged to create aesthetic dialogues with one another—a crossover between an exhibition and a trade fair.
Tadej Pogačar is a visual artist, curator and educator, born in 1960 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. He studied art history, ethnology and fine art at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. He is the founder and director of the P. A. R. A. S. I. T. E. Museum of Contemporary Art, a virtual organization. As a parallel institution, it serves as a critical model for analysing systems and the institutions within them. Devising fictitious systems and establishing fictitious institutions, Pogačar explores and spotlights hidden, obscured or ignored social phenomena, groups, practices, and relations. The second half of the seventies were crucial for artistic formation of Tadej Pogačar. Experimental music played a key role during this time. In addition he engaged in photography, ephemeral and performative actions in public space.
You are cordially invited!
