You are cordially invited to the OHO Group Award 2024 ceremony and the announcement of this year’s winner at the P74 Gallery on Tuesday, 28 May 2024, at 7 p.m.
The expert jury consists of Jože Barši (visual artist, Ljubljana), Dalibor Martinis (contemporary artist, Zagreb) and Martina Vovk (director, Museum of Modern Art, Ljubljana).

>The exhibition of this year’s nominees is on view at the P74 Gallery until 28 May 2024 during the gallery’s usual opening hours (Monday – Friday, 12 noon —6 p.m., outside opening hours by appointment).
Established by the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute in 2005, the OHO Group Award is the central national award for young visual artists. It is part of the international Young Visual Artist Award network that brings together non-governmental organisations from Central and Eastern Europe. The award offers a two-month artist residency in New York, which is organised in cooperation with our American partners, the Trust for Mutual Understanding New York and Residency Unlimited, New York, the latter of which organises and coordinates artists’ accommodation and creative work in the USA. After completing the residency, the winner presents a solo presentation at the P74 Gallery in Ljubljana.
Maja Bojanić, for this could all be but an empty promise, 2024, installation
Maja Bojanić (1997) is a sculpture graduate from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, having completed her studies in 2020. She is currently pursuing postgraduate studies at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in the Department of Transdisciplinary Art. Her artistic practice is focused on exploring the relationship between remembering and forgetting within the context of dominant historical narratives, which she questions through fiction. She participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad, including VBKÖ, Vienna (2024), Transit Exhibit Series, Vienna (2023), aqb project space, Budapest (2022), DobraVaga Gallery, Ljubljana (2022) and at biennials in Split and Osijek. As an artist in residence, in 2023, she participated in an interinstitutional exchange hosted by the Budapest Galéria (Budapest Galéria and Center for Contemporary Arts Celje).
Lucija Rosc, Mica bere vice, 2023, vinyl
Lucija Rosc (1995) is a visual artist who lives and works in Ljubljana. She completed her undergraduate studies in photography at the Faculty of Applied Sciences VIST in Ljubljana (2018) and her master’s degree in Visual Communication Design, majoring in photography, at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design (2022). She participated in several solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. Her works were showcased in the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova, Škuc Gallery, P74 Gallery and Maribor Art Gallery. Lucija Rosc combines a research approach with playful interpretation. She received the Prešeren Award from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design of the University of Ljubljana for her master’s thesis.
Dominik Štibernik, Piedestal, 2023, sandpapered wall paint on floor
Dominik Štibernik (1993) graduated from the Ljubljana Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) in 2019. His works have been exhibited at several group- and solo exhibitions, including the Equrna Gallery (2018), the National and Cultural Museum of the Republic of Kiribati (2019), the Ulay Foundation Project Space (2020 – 2021), the Slovenian Association of Fine Arts Societies (2022), the Ravnikar Gallery Space (2023 – 2024), the Glass Atrium of the Ljubljana Town Hall (2023 – 2024) and the Why Knot Gallery in Vienna (2023 – 2024). Dominik Štibernik’s research revolves around exhibition and studio spontaneities as well as those that arise during production work; he elevates the behind-the-scenes of artistic practice into a work of art or a gesture. His work reproduces and stages the phenomenon of everydayness through the language of exhibition or artistic protocols.
Nežka Zamar, Pangea, Take II, 2023, 3D designed and printed composable case with objects
Nežka Zamar (1990) is an interdisciplinary artist. After having graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2013, she continued her studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul and the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Her work focuses on questioning the boundaries of identities and individuality of language and the expansion of the space between materiality and concept. The work is then presented in the form of spatial installations, site-specific projects, and archives. She has exhibited at the Tulla Culture Center in Tirana, the Monitor Gallery in Rome, the Teatrino del Palazzo Grassi in Venice, the Museo di Santa Maria della Scala in Siena, the Ravnikar Gallery Space in Ljubljana, the Greenpoint Gallery in Brooklyn (USA), the East Slovak Gallery in Košice, P74 Gallery in Ljubljana, and Škuc Gallery in Ljubljana.
