FILIP ŠIJANEC AND NATASHA GIORDANO
Filip Šijanec is an award-winning composer and musician based in London. He has trained on piano, violin and guitar. He studied jazz guitar (BA, MA) at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (AT) and composition for film and television (MA) at the National Film & Television School (UK). He creates original music in a wide variety of styles for film, commercials, video games, theatre and online video content. He has received several awards for his work, including the Royal Television Society Student Award, the Golden Reel Award, the Peer Raben Award and the WDR Filmscore Award. Many of the films he has contributed music to have been screened and won awards at numerous international film festivals. He also teaches screen composition at the Royal College of Music (UK) and the National Film and Television School (UK), writes orchestral concert music and performs in experimental post-rock and ambient-electronic bands.

Natasha Giordano is an Italian-born, London-based multi-instrumentalist who explores sounds as inner spaces. Dark yet dreamy, brutal yet gentle, her music is ambient light waves, experimental soundscapes and echoing clouds.

GAŠPER PIANO is a musician/composer and sound designer, mainly creating music for theatre, contemporary dance performances, film and various contemporary musical ensembles. As a musician, he co-creates projects in the field of performing arts, especially performance (with Meg Stuart, Julyen Hamilton, Ivo Dimčev, etc., ed.), and at the same time is an active independent performer. In his solo performances, he intertwines the sound of electric and prepared guitars, saturated rhythms, bass lines, electronics, keyboards and virtual instruments, opening up the spectrum of energetic, ambient, improvised and experimental music.

JULIUS GABRIEL is a saxophonist, improviser and performer-composer whose work focuses on exploring musical instruments in all their boundaries and dimensions. He began his musical education at public music schools, but expanded it with underground club culture and mentored by free jazz pioneer Gunter Hampel. He graduated as a jazz performer at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, which he supplemented with courses at the Institute for Computer Music and Electronic Media and ensemble projects for new music. He creates otherworldly drones with electronic manipulation or transforms the saxophone into percussion. His creative and genre-bending approach is reflected in several solo albums. He is a member of the Barry Guy Blue Shroud Band, which brings together 14 musicians with diverse expertise and experience in the fields of baroque music, jazz, folk music, contemporary classical music and free improvisation.

LUNA NULLA
Luna Brinovar – Nulla is is a representative of the younger generation of Slovenian female DJs and one of the most prominent producers of experimental electro. She started performing as a DJ in 2016 and has since performed in all major Slovenian clubs and electronic music festivals. As a guest artist, she participated in the Spider radical body festival and the international feminist and queer festival Rdeče zore. Her musical vision later took her abroad, where she proved herself with performances in renowned clubs such as Club der Visionäre in Berlin (2021), Mjut in Leipzig (2022) and Harry Klein in Munich (2022). In 2020, she shifted her focus and love for electronic music to production, and in 2021 she released her debut album Split EP on the Kamizdat label.

MILKO LAZAR is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. After graduating from high school, he studied jazz and classical piano and saxophone at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz (Austria) and harpsichord (baroque music) at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague (Netherlands). For fifteen years, he regularly worked in the Big Band of RTV Slovenia as the first alto saxophonist and soloist, conductor and composer. During his jazz period, he worked with many of his own bands and with many world-famous jazz musicians, such as Maria Schneider, Herb Pomeroy, Peter Herbolzheimer and Mathias Ruegg. He has performed with his bands at many famous festivals. Milko Lazar has recorded more than forty LPs and CDs with various bands and twelve original CDs. He regularly composes for the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. In addition to composing for various chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras, he also regularly creates music for films, theaters, and dance and multimedia projects. Among many other awards, he received the Prešeren Fund Award in 2005 and the Župančič Award in 2010 for his compositional work.

JULIEN DESPREZ is a French guitarist who, through his work with foot pedals and tapping inspiration, has developed a unique playing technique. In this way, he has transcended the boundaries of the guitar and created a new instrument that blends with the drum kit or human organ – a constantly evolving instrument that transcends instrumental practice and evokes dance. The Acapulco Redux project extends these intentions by further questioning the physical and gestural relationship characteristic of the guitar medium. In this project, Julien plays on a device that equalizes sound, space and light. The stakes of the performance are slightly shifted and the perspectives multiplied. In addition to Acapulco Redux, Julien also performs as Agora and with the group Abacaxi.
