The exhibition will be on view till 23 May 2025 at the usual opening hours of the Gallery (monday to friday, 12.00 to 18.00, extra viewings upon individual arrangement).

The nominees for the OHO Group Award 2025 were selected in March 2025. The selection was made unanimously by the expert jury, consisting of Miha Colner (curator and writer, Ljubljana), Michaela Stock (gallerist, Vienna), Matej Stupica (visual artist, Ljubljana), and Janka Vukmir (curator and critic, Zagreb).

Established by the P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E. Institute (Zavod P.A.R.A.S.I.T.E.) in 2005, the OHO Group Award is the central national award for young visual artists. It is part of the international Young Visual Artist Award network that brings together non-governmental organisations from Central and Eastern Europe. The award offers a two-month artist residency in New York, which is organised in cooperation with our American partners, the Trust for Mutual Understanding New York and Residency Unlimited, New York, the latter of which organises and coordinates artists’ accommodation and creative work in the USA. After completing the residency, the winner presents a solo presentation at the P74 Gallery in Ljubljana.

Nika Erjavec (b. 1994) is an intermedia artist who explores vibration, urban wilderness, and the limits of human perception in her work. She creates interactive systems of kinetic, light, and sound installations that explore perception, power relations, and our relationship to the environment. In 2021, she received her master’s degree from the Department of Sculpture, having previously graduated from the Department for Unique Design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. In 2019, she received the Prešeren Award for students from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design for her series of installations and hybrid art research titled (in)VISIBLE. Over the past decade, she has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. She most recently showcased her work at the Museum of Contemporary Art Metelkova with a solo exhibition titled (un)objectivity, as part of the Draught‘s exhibition series. Two of her permanent installations can be found in Ljubljana: the interactive light environment, Cellular Landscapes, located in the outdoor pavilion in front of the University Clinical Centre Ljubljana (2024, a collaborative project of Prostorož, University Clinical Centre Ljubljana, and Forum Ljubljana) and the interactive sound installation V/posluh at the National Institute of Chemistry in Ljubljana, co-authored with Doroteja Erhatič in 2022.

Jurij Hartman (b. 2002) is a Slovenian interdisciplinary visual artist based in Ljubljana and Škofja Loka. He began his artistic education at the Secondary School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana, where he studied graphic design from 2017 to 2021. He continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, initially focusing on video animation and new media before switching to painting. His artistic practice is grounded in an interdisciplinary approach to painting, graphic design, installation, and multimedia production, as well as a keen interest in the theoretical fields of cultural analysis, media theory, and semiotics. His work has been showcased in solo exhibitions at the Glass Atrium of Ljubljana’s City Hall, DobraVaga Gallery, Maribor Cultural Incubator, Open Fringe Gallery in Murska Sobota, and the Little Gallery of the Bank of Slovenia in Ljubljana. He has participated in several group exhibitions, including those at the Tkalka Gallery in Maribor, Layer House in Kranj, Bažato Gallery in Ljubljana, Why Knot Gallery in Vienna, Y Gallery in Ljubljana, ZDSLU Gallery in Ljubljana, and the Little Gallery of the Bank of Slovenia in Ljubljana.

Lucija Klauž (b. 1999) is an artist and writer. She graduated in 2022 from the Department of Video and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, where she is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Visual Communication Design, with a major in Photography. Her work explores the recording of time and space by documenting the surroundings with random gestures that eventually turn into procedures. She is interested in uneven speeds and low-resolution images. Her work has been presented in solo exhibitions at the Portal 27778 Gallery (2022), DobraVaga Gallery (2023), and P74 Gallery, Ljubljana (2024), as well as at several group exhibitions. She has participated in several residencies: Interference, Tunis (2022), Lichtkunst Projekte Goldstücke, Gelsenkirchen-Buer (2022), and GuestRoomMaribor, Maribor (2023). She writes about contemporary art and cultural developments on Radio Student, and has collaborated as a writer with the Membrana magazine and the Museum of Modern Art Ljubljana. Together with a team of ten photography students, she organised and curated the 2024 exhibition Ponjava 4, which featured selected works by students of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design. She was also co-editor of the accompanying publication and exhibition catalogue. The curatorial team of this project received the 2025 Prešeren Academy of Fine Arts and Design Award.

Nežka Zamar (b. 1990) is an interdisciplinary artist. She graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice in 2013 and continued her studies in Visual Arts at the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul, later completing her master’s degree with distinction from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. In her artistic practice, she focuses on questioning and pushing the limits of identity and individuality of language, expanding the interspace between materiality and concept. Her subjects, supported by documentation and academic research, are represented through various artistic mediums, often combined in spatial installations and site-specific projects. From 2012 onwards, she participated in numerous residencies, art talks, and projects, including collaborations with the Albanian Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale and a public intervention and book presentation at the Mediterranea Young Artists Biennale. Her work has been exhibited internationally in group and solo exhibitions, including at Tulla Culture Centre’s Gallery, Tirana (AL), Monitor Gallery, Rome (IT), Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi, Venice (IT), Museo di Santa Maria della Scala, Siena (IT), Greenpointgallery, Brooklyn, NYC (USA), East Slovak Gallery, Košice (SK), Bait al-Zaibaq, Ramallah (PS), P74 Gallery, Ljubljana (SI), Kula Cetinjska Gallery, Belgrade (RS), Škuc Gallery, Ljubljana (SI).
