22 September – 5 October 2010
KAPSULA, Podhod Ajdovščina 1, Ljubljana
Opening View: Wednesday, 22 September at 7 p.m.

The project is the result of the second part of an analysis, begun by the authors in Kosovo in 2008, that underscores various aspects of the way contemporary forms of colonization are being implemented around the world through the reshaping of national identities and the operation of state apparatuses in accord with the logic and interests of capital.

There is a form of colonization at work today that is happening simultaneously in different parts of the world. It employs various geopolitical plans, from biopolitics to necropolitics, and through the dependence on capital, conditions all other segments of social dependence. In the case of Kosovo, Agon Hamza defines this contemporary strategy of colonization as New-Born Ideology, the aim of which is the introduction of the Western ideology of democracy, which enables capital to establish new foundations for its colonization.

The project addresses the influence that various ideologies (Althusser) had and have on the formation of the contemporary world and on the creation of a permanent state of emergency, which transforms not only the geopolitical structure of the world but also reality as such.
